Callaway Elyte Hybrids (NEW 2025 Rescues Reviewed)

Callaway Elyte Hybrids Review

Callaway Elyte hybrids are a new 2025 with three models – the Elyte, Elyte X and Elyte Max Fast – replacing the AI Smoke models.

Released along with the new Elyte drivers range, fairway woods and irons, the rescues feature the standard Elyte, the draw bias X and the lightweight Max Fast models.

The new 2025 design delivers 10x more control points than the previous Ai Smart Face in the Ai Smoke models, resulting in faster ball speeds, tighter shot dispersion and optimized launch.

As a result, the range is longer, more accurate and very forgiving and is the most adjustable model yet, giving setup options like never before.

Callaway Elyte Hybrids Specs & Design

The Elyte Hybrid is the standard model in the range and the option suited to a wide range of golfers from low to high handicappers.

This model has a mid-sized clubhead for playability and forgiveness, offering a neutral flight bias with mid-high launch and mid-low spin.

It is Callaway most adjustable hybrid yet with the OptiFit 4 hosel system providing seven unique loft and lie combinations.

The Elyte also features adjustable heel-toe weights with 13g tungsten and 3g aluminum weights which can be swapped to move between neutral and draw ball flights.

The upgraded Ai10x Face design delivers 10x more control points than the previous Ai Smart Face, resulting in faster ball speeds, tighter shot dispersion and optimized launch.

The Elyte hybrids are available in 3-hybrid (19 degrees), 4-hybrid (22 degrees) and 5-hybrid (24 degrees) and are fully adjustable.

Callaway Elyte X Hybrids Specs & Design

The Elyte X rescues are the draw-bias version of the series and ideal option for golfers looking to cure the distance-sapping fade or slice.

The X model boasts a larger footprint than the standard version and are easier to hit consistently, boasting a deeper face that helps increase forgiveness across impact.

With a high launch with low spin and a neutral to draw flight bias, the Elyte X is ideal for golfers needing maximum forgiveness and players struggling with slice or wanting to promote a draw.

Callaway Elyte X Hybrids

The hybrids features the new Ai10x Face design, replacing the Ai Smart Face and now providing 10x more control points. As a result you can expect faster ball speeds and more accuracy.

The X features the new OptiFit 4 hosel system providing seven unique loft and lie combinations and a wide range of setup options.

It also features adjustable heel and toe weights with a 13g tungsten and 3g aluminum option that can be positions in the heel or toe for less or more draw bias.

The Elyte X hybrids are available in 3-hybrid (18 degrees), 4-hybrid (21 degrees), 5-hybrid (25 degrees) and 6-hybrid (29 degrees).

Callaway Elyte Max Fast Hybrids Specs & Design

The Max Fast lightweight option was first introduced in the Ai Smoke hybrids range and has been improved in the latest model.

This version is designed to help golfers with slower swings generate maximum speed through the air and extract maximum distances from their rescues.

This design of this Elyte model makes it easier to get the ball airborne and complements Elyte Max Fast irons for perfect gapping.

Callaway Elyte Max Fast Hybrids

The Max Fast hybrid features a shallower face design with a deeper crown, promoting higher launch and moderate spin from the upgraded Ai10x Face design.

The model features adjustable heel-toe weights with 9g tungsten and 3g aluminum weights which can be swapped to move between neutral and draw ball flights.

There is also adjustability from the new OptiFit 4 hosel system, which offers seven unique loft and lie combinations.

The Max Fast is sold in 4-hybrid (23 degrees), 5-hybrids (27 degrees), 6-hybrids (31 degrees), 7-hybrid (35 degrees) and 8-hybrid (39 degrees).

Callaway Hybrids Review: Are they any good?

Callaway have added more adjustability to the latest hybrids range with the Elyte providing up to 13 yards more of shot shaping capabilities.

That is compared to Ai Smoke Hybrids from 2024, and it is thanks to the new sole weight set in the heel and toe and the adjustable 7-way Opti hosel in the new Elyte range.

The trio of models in the series mean you can get the right setup for your swing speed, natural shot shape and on course tendencies by dialling in the perfect loft and lie for your game.

The Elyte is a great option for the vast majority of golfers, the X should come under consideration if you are a slicer and we highly recommend the Max Fast for slower swing speeds.
