Callaway Elyte Woods (NEW 2025 Fairways Reviewed)

Callaway Elyte Woods Review

Callaway Elyte fairway woods are new 2025 with five models launched in an expanded range featuring standard, X, Triple Diamond, Max Fast and Titanium versions.

The Elyte fairways are joined by new drivers, hybrids and irons in a complete series, and help extract even more distance than previous models in the Ai Smoke series offered.

The woods are available in Elyte, Elyte X, Elyte Triple Diamond, Elyte Max Fast and the new Elyte Titanium models for 2025.

A new Step Sole is one of the key changes vs Paradym Ai Smoke woods, as is the introduction of a new Tungsten Speed Wave suspended behind the club face and the enhanced Ai 10x face design.

Callaway Elyte Woods Specs & Design

The Elyte is the standard model of the new range of fairways with “total performance” what this model is all about, offering a blend of distance, control and forgiveness.

The clubhead of the woods has been reshaped and features a new Step Sole design along with a new Tungsten Speed Wave internal structure.

The Step Sole has been introduced for better turf interaction and has reduced the drag by 57% compared to a traditional sole design. The result is cleaner ball striking time after time.

Callaway’s Tungsten Speed Wave, which is featured on the 3-7 wood, is an innovative new 35g suspended weight behind the face that has helped move weight low and forward in the clubhead.

The new feature works to maintain ball speeds and distance from strikes low on the face, the typical miss with fairway woods.

The new Ai10x Face has been enhanced from the Ai Smoke models with the C300 Face cup contributing towards fast ball speeds a high launch with low spin levels and more accuracy.

The Elyte is available in 3-wood (15 degrees), 3HL-wood (16.5 degrees), 5-wood (18 degrees), heavenwood (20 degrees), 7-wood (21 degrees), 9-wood (24 degrees) and 11-wood (27 degrees).

The 3-wood and 3HL-wood have an adjustable hosel with up to four degrees of adjustability (two degrees up and down).

Callaway Elyte X Woods Specs & Design

The Elyte X replaces the Ai Smoke Max D model as the draw bias version of the series and is designed a cure to natural fade or slice ball shapes.

Suited to golfers of all handicap ranges, the X model is the most forgiving in the entire Elyte series. It has a slightly larger profile than the Elyte thanks to a stretched clubhead for a more inspiring look at address.

As a result of the longer shape, the Elyte X has a shallower face that delivers a high-launch, high ball flight and mid-spin characteristics to generate the draw shot shapes.

The face itself has C300 Face cup and is enhanced by the new Ai 10x Face which more sweet spots than the previous model for better ball speeds, longer distance and more accuracy.

The new Tungsten Speed Wave features a 35g suspended weight behind the face to help move CG low and forward in this model to help maintain ball speeds from across the face.

Step Sole technology, introduced based on tour data, has a new sole design that helps improve ball striking by reducing the contact area with the turf to a minimum.

The Elyte X is available in 3-wood (15 degrees), 3HL-wood (16.5 degrees), 5-wood (18 degrees) and 7-wood (21 degrees).

The 3-wood and 3HL-wood have an adjustable hosel with up to four degrees of adjustability (two degrees up and down).

Callaway Elyte Triple Diamond Woods Specs & Design

The Triple Diamond model is the most tour-like design with a compact clubhead, a deep face profile and a penetrating ball flight for maximum distance.

Suited to golfers with faster swing speeds and up to a maximum of 10 handicap, it is the lowest launching of the five models in the series and of fairways, produces low-spin and still impressive forgiveness levels.

Those low spin levels are aided for a forward weight screw behind the face, which helps produce the low trajectory and penetrating ball flight.

Also behind the face is the new Tungsten Speed Wave design element, which incorporates a 35g suspended weight for a low CG, fast ball speeds and a solid performance from across the face.

The face itself is a C300 Face cup design with Ai 10x technology that has been improves to add more sweet spots to 10 different areas of the face.

The Triple Diamond has the same Step Sole design as the other models for less skidding and dragging through impact with the better turf interaction improving ball striking.

This version is available in 3-wood (15 degrees), 5-wood (18 degrees) and 7-wood (21 degrees). The 3-wood has an adjustable hosel for up to four degrees of adjustability (two degrees up and down).

Callaway Elyte Max Fast Woods Specs & Design

The Max Fast was launched as new in the Ai Smoke series and the a lightweight option is retained in the Elyte range.

This model is designed to help golfers with slower swings generate maximum speed through the air, and features light head weights and swing weights.

The clubhead shape is very similar to the Elyte X with an elongated or stretched crown and weight moved to the perimeter for a high launch and mid spin levels.

Callaway Elyte Max Fast Woods

The new Ai10x Face has more sweet spot points than the Ai Smoke for more control and accuracy as well as increased ball speed compared to the previous model.

The Max Fast features the new Tungsten Speed Wave which has helped lower the CG and move weight low and forward thanks to a 35g suspended weight behind the face.

Ball striking has been improved thanks to the new Step Sole with smoother turf interaction and less resistance at impact.

There is no adjustability in the Max Fast woods with a fixed hosel and weight, which is also part of the weight savings in this version that suited handicappers of 15+.

The Max Fast is sold in four loft options of 3-wood (16 degrees), 5-wood (19 degrees), 7-wood (22 degrees) and 9-wood (25 degrees).

Callaway Elyte Titanium Woods Specs & Design

A new addition is the Elyte Ti, which has all of the same technological advances wrapped up in a Titanium crown for ultimate power.

The handbrakes are off with this model as it is all about speed, power and distance coupled with forgiveness and adjustability in the most complete package.

The Elyte Ti has a combination of the X shaping with the deeper face of the Triple Diamond model, giving incredible workability and shot shaping capabilities.

Callaway Elyte Ti Woods

The woods feature an interchangeable weighting system on the sole that allow lower spin when set forward and a powerful ball flight and forgiveness when in the heavier weight is positioned back.

Like the other models, the 35g Tungsten Speed Wave is positioned behind the face with the suspended structure create a low CG and retaining ball speeds on off-center strikes.

The Ai 10x Face technology is also incorporated to provide more accuracy and the Step Sole ensures better turf interaction and ball striking.

The Titanium model is available in 3-wood (15 degrees), 3HL-wood (16.5 degrees) and 5-wood (18 degrees).

Callaway Elyte Woods Review: Are they any good?

Callaway Elyte have made some eye-catching design tweaks to the range and the results in terms of looks is stunning.

Improved shaping across the board makes the five option pleasing on the eye and the technology under the bonnet doesn’t disappoint either.

More accurate thanks to the new Ai Face, more powerful courtesy of the Tungsten Speed Wave behind the face and faster through the air thanks to improve aerodynamics and sole shape.

The overall look, feel and performance is impressive. Even better still is the addition of a titanium version, which adds to the attraction given just how powerful this model can be.
