Callaway Paradym Woods

Callaway Paradym woods are new for 2023 with three new fairways launched and breaking new ground with “unprecedented gains in speed and MOI”.

The complete Paradym series features new drivers, hybrids and irons as well as three fairways woods – the Paradym, Paradym X and Paradym Triple Diamond models.

The lightweight construction of the fairways has allowed Callaway to move weight and dramatically increase forgiveness, speed and distance in these woods.

What Callaway says about the Paradym fairways:

“To create a true breakthrough in performance, Callaway’s engineers have reimagined how a fairway wood is constructed.

“For golfers, it’s a total Paradym shift in distance and forgiveness. This completely new construction eliminates weight from the body and repositions it for unprecedented gains in speed and MOI.

“Plus, every model has been uniquely designed with a specific player in mind to fully maximize their performance.

Callaway Paradym Woods

“The Paradym features progressive shaping, and it’s our most robust offering that fits a wide range of player types. This is the model for golfers who want a high launching fairway wood with a neutral ball flight.

“The Paradym X is for players looking for our most forgiving shape with a high launch and a slight draw bias. A Forged Carbon toe patch redistributes weight to the heel to make this fairway easy to turn over.

“The Paradym Triple Diamond is our most compact fairway wood shape with a deeper face at address. This offering is best suited for stronger players who are looking for a penetrating ball flight with lower spin.”

Callaway Paradym Woods Specs & Design

The most standard of the trio of options, the Paradym fairways are suited to a variety of golfers from elite level players to higher handicappers.

These woods are high launching and produce a neutral ball flight that will suit the game of many golfers with the promise of adding up to seven yards.

Callaway have introduced a stronger A.I. designed Jailbreak Batwing structure to the club head, which has stiffened the body and frame.

That has allowed the newly optimsed high-strength C300 maraging steel face cup to flex more on impact to provide greater ball speeds, less spin and more consistency.

The fairways have a lightweight Forged Carbon sole coupled with a heavier 23g high-density tungsten speed cartridge to drive the CG low and forward for a high launch and maximum forgiveness.

The Paradym is available in 3-wood (15 degrees), 3HL-wood (16.5 degrees), 5-wood (18 degrees), HVN-wood (20 degrees), 7-wood (21 degrees), 9-wood (24 degrees) and 11-wood (27 degrees). Only the 3-wood and 3HL-wood has an adjustable hosel.

Callaway Paradym X Woods Specs & Design

The Paradym X fairways differ from the Paradym due to a slightly more forgiving shape and the fact it is set up to provide a draw bias.

Callaway have given this model a more upright lie and a neutral face over the ball, while the shape of the club head is designed to launch high with a slight draw.

Callaway Paradym X Woods

The A.I. designed Jailbreak Batwing structure is repeated in this model with a strengthened body allowing more flex from the C300 maraging steel face cup for faster ball speeds.

The Paradym X is also crafted from a lightweight Forged Carbon sole and has a marginally heavier tungsten speed cartridge at 25g. This element also helps promote the towering ball flight.

The Paradym X is available in 3-wood (15 degrees), 3HL-wood (16.5 degrees), 5-wood (18 degrees) and 7-wood (21 degrees). Only the 3-wood and 3HL-wood has an adjustable hosel.

Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond Woods Specs & Design

The Paradym Triple Diamond fairways have a more compact club head that the other two models and are designed for the better golfers.

The Triple Diamond delivers a stunning penetrating ball flight, less spin and more distance whether use from the fairway, rough or tee pegs.

This version has deeper face at address and the more compact look won’t suit all golfers with this option all about shot-shaping and workability.

Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond Woods

The lightweight Triaxial Carbon crown helps save weight and push the CG low and forward in the Triple Diamond, which in turn delivers the lower ball flight that the other fairways.

Callaway have include the strong Jailbreak Batwing structure to work in harmony with the C300 maraging steel face cup and the results are tremendous.

The high-density tungsten speed cartridge weighs 21g in this model.

The Paradym Triple Diamond is available in 3+ wood (13.5 degrees), 3-wood (15 degrees) and 5-wood (18 degrees) with all three featuring an adjustable hosel.

Verdict: Are the Callaway Paradym Fairway Woods any good?

The Paradym series looks set to take things to the next level and the fairway woods play their part in that.

The three separate models of woods all offer something different, from the very forgiving Paradym X to the ultra workable Triple Diamond.

Callaway have come up with a stunning look and a high class performer that looks like having a big 2023.
