What Callaway says about the Great Big Bertha hybrids:

“Paradym Hybrids are redefining how golfers approach their long game.

“With our Paradym Shift Construction, the Cutwave Sole design improves the club’s performance through the turf, making this our most versatile hybrid we’ve ever made.

“And now we’ve adapted our best speed technologies from fairway woods, and implemented them into hybrids for maximum distance.

“Our new A.I. designed Jailbreak with Batwing Technology increases stiffness in the body for more face flexure. This results in higher ball speeds and more distance.

“An all-new Cutwave Sole is designed specifically to cut through the turf with ease, especially from thick rough. This brand-new shape makes Paradym the most versatile family of hybrids we’ve ever created.

“A high-strength 455 Face Cup is designed using A.I. to optimize ball speeds and improve spin robustness across the face. Each model features a unique A.I. pattern to enhance performance in that specific head.”

Callaway Paradym Hybrids Specs & Design

The Paradym rescues are the standard model of the two and have a mid-sized wood-shaped head for natural continuity to your long game clubs.

Suited to low-to-mid handicappers, this model is all about workability, versatility and shot-shaping with the new Cutwave Sole designed to improve ball striking and eek out extra yardage in your game.

There is a new high-density Tungsten Speed Cartridge incorporated to provide more speed as it works in harmony with stiff frame of the A.I. designed Jailbreak with Batwing Technology.

The combination has allowed Callaway to move the CG low and more forward in these hybrids for better launch angles and high speeds from the entire face.

The face is once again a high-strength 455 Face Cup with a unique A.I. pattern of ripples now sitting behind the face to generate extra speed and distance.

There is an adjustable hosel in the new Paradyms to provide even more options at the top end of your bag.

The Paradym hybrids are available in 3-hybrid (18 degrees), 4-hybrid (21 degrees), 5-hybrid (24 degrees) and 6-hybrid (27 degrees) with an adjustable hosel for changing lofts and lie.

Callaway Paradym X Hybrids Specs & Design

The Paradym X model differs from the Paradym by having an oversized wood-shaped club head to inspire maximum confidence over the ball.

The X rescues are more forgiving than their sister model, but do provide plenty of versatility and distance for the mid-to-high handicappers they are aimed at.

Callaway Paradym X Hybrids

You can expect improved ball striking from the Paradym X rescues thanks to the new Cutwave Sole, which cuts through turf and rough better than any previous Callaway hybrid.

This model also has the A.I. designed Jailbreak with Batwing Technology frame for stiffness and the new high-density Tungsten Speed Cartridge to provide more speed.

The high-strength 455 Face Cup also generated impressive ball speeds thanks to the unique A.I. pattern of ripples behind the face.

Callaway Paradym X Hybrids

The combination of technologies have allowed Callaway to move the CG low and more forward for a high launch, while the oversized head and weighting helps create a semi-draw bias.

The Paradym X hybrids are available in 3-hybrid (18 degrees), 4-hybrid (21 degrees), 5-hybrid (24 degrees), 6-hybrid (27 degrees) and 7-hybrid (30 degrees). There is an adjustable hosel in the new Paradyms too.

Verdict: Are the Paradym Hybrids any good?

The two models in the new Paradym rescues range are well thought out because they offer something for every type of golfers.

For golfers struggling with their irons, the Paradym X with an oversized head will be a very good option to consider with distance gains to be had.

The Paradym model is a superb looking, and impressive performing hybrid, if you want to gain more distance without the losing the ability to get creative with your rescues.

These are a great new addition for 2023.
