The Japanese star was dominant at El Camaleon Golf Course in Mayakoba, firing a final round 66 to secure a six-shot victory over Jenny Bae.

Iwai, who is in her debut season on the LPGA Tour having joined twin sister Akie, finished on 12-under par to win the inaugural Riviera Maya Open.

Iwai earned her LPGA Tour card via Q School in December 2024 when finishing second in qualifying.

She is no stranger to success, however, having won eight times on the LPGA of Japan Tour and once on the Step-Up Tour, which was her first victory in 2021.
