Cobra have come up with a complete series of Darkspeed drivers, fairway woods, rescues and irons as the successors to the Aerojet models.

Long and boasting a high launch with added forgiveness, the Darkspeed hybrids have optimized spin and a speed design to help extract every yard from your game.

With an improved PWRSHELL insert and suspended PWR-BRIDGE design, Cobra have managed to find performance gains in a number of areas. We tested them and found out for ourselves.

Cobra Darkspeed Hybrids Specs & Design

The new Darkspeed rescues boast a confidence-inspiring shape, enhanced ball speeds, optimized spin and increased carry distances compared to the Aerojets that preceded them.

Cobra have achieved that with a combination of features designed to get the most out of the long game of golfers of all abilities.

The Darkspeeds feature a deep body and high bounce along the leading edge to ensure improved turf interaction and stability in all conditions.

The strategic placement of a 12g sole weight also adds to the forgiveness of these hybrids and promotes a high, towering ball flight for maximum carry distance.

The tweaked designed of the now-standard PWRSHELL insert and suspended PWR-BRIDGE design enhances the flexibility of the face and sole in this last model.

The combination results in a maximum ball speed and reduced spin level from the 2024 release, with the A.I. designed H.O.T. Face also contributing to that thanks to an optimized variable thickness pattern.

The Darkspeed hybrids are available in 2-hybrid (17 degrees), 3-hybrid (19 degrees), 4-hybrid (21 degrees), 5-hybrid (24 degrees) and 6-hybrid (28 degrees).

Cobra Darkspeed Hybrids Review: Are they any good?

While the Aerojet rescues were highly regarded, the new Darkspeed is a much more consistent and efficient hybrid to consider for 2024.

After testing them, we can confirm the new model delivers on what it promises with more distance, increased ball speeds, a higher launch for greater carry and more forgiveness.

We also found that the tweaked leading edge improved turf interaction and helped maintain clubhead speeds with incremental gains in all areas compared to the Aerojets.
