What Cobra says about the King Snakebite wedges:

“The King Cobra Wedge features a nostalgic throwback King Cobra, reminiscent of the rich history and evolution of the brand.

“The wedge features a new Snakebite groove design (in traditional & full face groove lengths) that is engineered to maximize spin and fittingly produce more ‘BITE’ around the greens.

“A new SNAKEBITE groove design uses a re-engineered cutting method that replaces tools more frequently to tighten groove tolerances, maximize groove volume, and create the sharpest and most accurate groove possible.

“The new design results in 11% deeper grooves, and 40% sharper groove edges to impart maximum spin on the ball.

“Traditional grooves are narrower and deeper to optimize spin on lower lofted wedges that are used with a square or delofted face.

“Wider and shallower full-face grooves that extend to the toe create more spin on shots with an open face when the ball is more likely to make contact with the toe area.”

Cobra King Snakebite Wedges Specs & Design

The Cobra King wedges are constructed from 8620 Carbon Steel, and feature Progressive Spin Technology, a patented design feature which helps provide both precision and versatility in your short game shots.

The spin performance from these wedges is all down to the well thought out for two reasons, the first being the CNC milling process involved in creating a strong performing face and grooves.

The second is the so-called Snakebite grooves design which offer more bite and spin through the range.

They have been created with 11% deeper grooves for maximum spin as well as with 40% sharper groove edges to really take things to the limit of allowance on the face.

The Snakebite wedges can also be purchased with full-face grooves in the more lofted options, which are also wider and shallower, for the first time to ensure maximum spin levels are generated from across the face, particular when it is left open in say bunkers.

Cobra King Snakebite Wedges

The Cobra King Snakebite Wedges comes with seven different loft options to provide the perfect gapping in your bag.

Choose from the 48, 50, 52 or 54 degree wedges which have traditional grooves design for ideal for the perfect blend of spin and trajectory, or the 56, 58 or 60 degree options with full-face wider and shallower groove patterns.

You can create the perfect wedge for your game too by choosing from the three sole options with the Versatile, Classic and WideLow grinds available.

The Versatile sole features a softened edge and a medium bounce level, making it better suited to average to firm conditions.

The Classic has a thinner sole and a higher bounce and is your all-rounder when it comes to course conditions. If you play in softer conditions, the WideLow is your wedge with a low bounce incorporated.
