The Farmers Insurance Open takes place across the North Course and South Course at Torrey Pines in California and is part of the West Coast Swing.

The event dates back to 1952 when known as the San Diego Open. Farmers Insurance took over the sponsorship in 2010 with the tournament previously carrying the name of Wickes, Isuzu, Shearson Lehman Brothers and Buick.

Patrick Reed is the defending champion having won the title in 2021.

Farmers Insurance Open Golf Format & Schedule

The Farmers Insurance Open will be played over four rounds / 72 holes across two different courses at Torrey Pines.

Players will play a round on both the North Course and South Course on the opening two days. After the 36-hole cut, the final two rounds will be staged on the South Course.

  • Day 1 – Wednesday, January 26
  • Day 2 – Thursday, January 27
  • Day 3 – Friday, January 28
  • Day 4 – Saturday, January 29

The tournament carries a prize fund of $8,400,000 USD.
