Gary Woodland What's In The Bag

Gary Woodland returns to the winners’ circle when claiming the title at the Houston Open in March 2026. A look at Gary Woodland: What’s In The Bag.

Woodland was winning for the first time since 2019 and the first time since undergoing brain tumour surgery, with his success in Texas an emotional one.

The American kept his nerve under intense pressure to ultimately win the 2026 Houston Open by five shots as he finished on 21-under par at Memorial Park Golf Club.

It was Woodland’s fifth PGA Tour victory that also includes the 2011 Transitions Championship, 2013 Reno-Tahoe Open and 2018 Waste Management Phoenix Open.

Woodland’s previous victory was his only major success to date having triumphed in the 2019 US Open.
