Sagstrom hadn’t won since January 2020 but ended the wait for a second LPGA title as she enjoyed a dream week at the T-Mobile Match Play in Las Vegas.
The Swede was unbeaten across the five days, winning her group matches against Minjee Lee, Jasmine Suwannapura and Patty Tavatanakit.
In the knockout stages, she overcame Carlota Cigada, Celine Boutier, Angel Yin and Lauren Coughlin 1up in the final to claim the title.
It was Sagstrom’s second win on the LPGA and more than five years since lifting the title at the 2020 Gainbridge LPGA at Boca Rio.
Prior to gaining her LPGA card, Sagstrom won three times on the Symetra Tour in 2016 with victories in the Chico’s Patty Berg Memorial, Self Regional Healthcare Foundation Classic and the Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout.
Sagstrom is a four-time Solheim Cup player for Europe and also represented Sweden at the 2021 Olympics.
