Callaway Chrome Tour X balls have been revealed as one of two new models for 2024. Where does it sit vs Chrome Tour and Chrome Soft?
The Chrome Soft X has been one of Callaway’s best sellers and their tour-level performer is trusted by many tour stars, but the Chrome Tour X has taken it’s spot as the firmest premium offering.
The medium-firm four-piece Tour X joins fellow newcomer the medium construction Chrome Tour and the existing three-piece Chrome Soft as a trio of options for elite golfers from Callaway.
We took a look at the new Chrome Tour X, how it sits in the Callaway offering of premium balls and how it performs on the course.

Callaway Chrome Tour X Balls Design & Features
The new Chrome Tour X is a four-piece construction and is the replacement ball for the Chrome Soft X.
This model offers a “medium-firm” feel and slightly firmer feel than the other new release Chrome Tour, which in turn is former than the Chrome Soft.
The Chrome Soft X is a premium ball designed for players with faster swing speeds, offering mid spin from the tee for workability and high spin around the greens and with approach play.
The Chrome Tour X has a 332-dimple pattern on a new Seamless Tour Aero package that also features a Hyper Fast Soft Core and High Performance Tour Urethan Soft Cover.
The all-round package means the Chrome Tour X delivers a penetrating ball flight for maximum distance off the tee and from fairways.
The Chrome Tour X balls are available in various colours including both white and yellow. They also have Triple Track and TruTrack versions on sale.
There is also a black alignment line on each of the versions for help on the putting greens.

Callaway Chrome Tour X Balls Review: What We Know
The new Chrome Tour X golf balls are a successor to the Chrome Soft X and the model is largely similar with a different package and name.
The firmest of the trio of options now left in Callaway’s premium range, it has an improved ball flight thanks to the new four-layer construction and is incredibly long as a result.
If you have a fast swing speed, these are for you. If you’re in the mid-to-low range of swing speed, consider either the Chrome Tour or Chrome Soft.
