Callaway Opus Wedges Review (NEW For 2024)

Callaway Opus Wedges Review

Callaway Opus wedges look set to be the success to the Mack Daddy JAWS model after being seen on tour in 2024. Here’s everything we know about the new wedges.

The new wedges are not yet released by Callaway, but images have emerged of a Raw version of the Opus having been seen in the bag of staff player Chris Kirk on the PGA Tour.

The likelihood is that we will see Chrome, Raw and Black versions of the wedges launched in the coming months in 2024 with the Opus expected to replace the Mack Daddy Jaws as the premium wedges.

From the images, we can see a slightly altered clubhead shape compared to the Jaws. We look forward to testing them out once the Opus wedges are made official by Callaway.

Callaway Opus Wedges Design & Features

Callaway Opus wedges have been seen on tour with Chris Kirk using them on the PGA Tour.

Other than images released on the All Golf Equipment instagram handle, we have no details released about the Opus model.

We can expect the Opus to be the replacement for the Mack Daddy Jaws range, which was last released in 2022.

The Opus appears to have a slightly more rounded clubhead than the Jaws model and has the coloured buttons in the back of the wedge removed.

Other design tweaks are more subtle and we look forward to finding out the new technologies incorporated into the wedges.

We can expect there to be three options with Chrome, Raw (as used by Kirk) and Black versions of the Opus likely to be launched.

The Jaws wedges feature four separate grinds – the Z-Grind, S-Grind, X-Grind and W-Grind – to suit the bounce and loft option requirements of all skills levels. The Opus is likely to have a similar number of options.
