The Colombian had won her only professional victory 13 years earlier, but finally came good on the Ladies European Tour with victory in Australia.

Uribe had never won at elite tour level having claimed her only previous professional win in the 2011 HSBC Brazil Cup, which was an unofficial LPGA Tour event.

As an amateur, Uribe won both the 2007 US Women’s Amateur and the 2008 Mexican International Amateur.

Her victory in Australia moved Uribe up 257 places in the Women’s Rolex Rankings to 217th in the world.
