Matteo Manassero: What’s In The Bag

Matteo Manassero What's In The Bag

Matteo Manassero ended an 11-year wait for a DP World Tour victory when winning the Jonsson Workwear Open in March 2024. A look at Matteo Manassero: What’s In The Bag.

Manassero shot to prominence with four European Tour wins between 2010 and 2013 before losing his way. He regained his tour card in 2023 and is back among the elite winners.

The 30-year-old Italian finished on 26-under par in the Jonsson Workwear Open, three shots clear of Thriston Lawrence, Shaun Norris and Jordan Smith in South Africa.

Manassero won the Castelló Masters in 2010, the Maybank Malaysian Open in 2011, the Barclays Singapore Open in 2012 and the BMW PGA Championship in 2013, all on the DP World Tour.

The Italian slipped into a spiral with his next win coming in 2020 on the Alps Tour in the Toscana Alps Open.

In 2023, he won twice on the Challenge Tour in the Copenhagen Challenge and Italian Challenge Open with the two victories earning him his DP World Tour card once again.
