Nick Bachem: What’s In The Bag

Nick Bachem

Nick Bachem landed his first DP World Tour when claiming the title at the Jonsson Workwear Open in March 2023. A look at Nick Bachem: What’s In The Bag.

The German had yet to win since turning professional in 2021, but he produced a stunning eight-under par final round to win the Jonsson Workwear Open in South Africa.

He finished the four round event on 24-under par at Steyn City in Johannesburg, winning the title by four shots from South African duo Hennie du Plessis and Zander Lombard.

It was just his 12th DP World Tour start having made the step up from the Challenge Tour.

Bachem won three times as an amateur on the Pro Golf Tour before turning professional, and earned his spot on the DP World Tour having finished 22nd on the Challenge Tour’s Road to Mallorca.

Prior to his win in South Africa, Bachem was ranked 464th in the Official World Golf Rankings. He moved up to 273rd after the victory.
