The TGL hosted a historic triple-header of matches on February 17, 2025 with The Bay Club the stars of the President’s Day event.
In what was the first time a triple header was used with four of the six TGL teams in action at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens in Florida at the same time.
It was The Bay Club who earned all the plaudits as they won both matches, defeating Atlanta Drive GC 6-5 and then taking down Boston Common Golf Club 5-4 in two thrillers.
Atlanta Drive has won the opening match of the President’s Day TGL night action with a thrilling 6-5 overtime victory over Los Angeles Golf Club.
Justin Thomas chipped in for a birdie on the final hole to force overtime, where Patrick Cantlay’s closest-to-the-pin shot clinched the win.
Atlanta Drive could repeat the wins as they were beaten 6-5 by The Bay Club in a closely contested match.
The Bay Club took an early lead, winning three of the first four holes, and managed to hold off a late comeback attempt by Atlanta.
The Bay Club, featuring Ludvig Aberg fresh off his PGA Tour title at the Genesis Invitational, continued their winning streak, defeating Rory McIlroy’s Boston Common Golf Club 5-4.
Wyndham Clark sealed the victory with a final-hole eagle, moving The Bay Club to the top of the SoFi Standings with a 3-0 recorded.
Boston Common Golf Club remains winless at 0-3 having previously lost to Jupiter Links in overtime and also to Los Angeles Golf Club.
