Ryan Fox landed the biggest win of his career and a first major when winning The Open Championship at Royal Birkdale in July 2026. A look at Ryan Fox: What’s In The Bag.
Fox moved into contention with a eight-under par third round and sealed victory at Royal Birkdale with a dramatic closing birdie on the final hole.
The New Zealander finished on 10-under par in the 2026 The Open Championship, one clear of Cameron Young who had posted the clubhouse leader around three hours earlier.
Fox now has 20 career wins including five on the DP World Tour and three on the PGA Tour.
He broke through on the DP World Tour in the ISPS Handa Perth Super 6 in 2019 before winning twice in 2022 in the Ras Al Khaimah Classic and Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at St Andrews, Kingsbarns and Carnoustie.
A biggest career win at the time came in the 2023 BMW PGA Championship to earn a PGA Tour card. He then won stateside in 2025 Myrtle Beach Classic and Canadian Open.
