Available from select Titleist stores, the B3 putters series comes with a hefty price tags but as limited edition one-offs are they worth the money?
Scotty Cameron B3 Triple Black Newport 2 Putter Review
The Newport 2 is the flagship model of the B3 Triple Black Design LTD line – and of many of Scotty Cameron’s series due to the fact this is the most popular blade of all.
The new release is based on the Super Select Newport 2 shape and includes milled triple cavity dots accented in translucent smoke paintfill.
There are customisable sole weights for setup adjustments, a dual-milled face texture and an I-beam plumbing neck to deliver a medium toe flow stroke balance.
This model offers the offset, look and feel of modern blade putters, comes with a stylish black finish, black shaft and black Pistolini Plus grip as standard.
Scotty Cameron B3 Triple Black Newport 2 Long Neck Putter Review
The new Newport 2 Long Neck model revives a neck style Scotty Cameron pioneered over 25 years ago.
It offers near-face balanced performance with a higher hosel position, resulting in less toe hang and promotes a straight-back-straight-through putting stroke.
This Long Neck putter also features the same Triple Black series design elements as the Newport 2, including the black finish, black shaft, black Pistolini Plus grip, and milled triple cavity dots with translucent smoke paintfill.
It is also based on the modern Super Select Newport 2 shape but with the Long I-Beam Plumbing design and look of the 1990s Scotty Camerons.
Scotty Cameron B3 Triple Black Santa Fe Putter Review
The 2024 Scotty Cameron Santa Fe model pays homage to one of the early classics from the brand.
It combines the Newport shape but with a flare neck design, providing a hint of toe flow in the putting stroke.
The Santa Fe is based on the modern Super Select Newport head shape and features softer, rounded features compared to the two Newport 2 designs.
The Triple Black design includes the Tour Black finish, black shaft, black Pistolini Plus grip, milled triple cavity dots with translucent smoke paintfill, and customisable sole weights for optimised weighting and setup.
Scotty Cameron B3 Triple Black Catalina Putter Review
The B3 Triple Black Catalina putter is another modern twist of a classic design that was incredibly popular during the 1990s.
This limited model has been made slightly wider than a standard Newport and is based on the Super Select Newport Plus design, but without the aircraft aluminum soleplate.
The Catalina features a single bend shaft for near-face balanced performance and a more player-friendly blade length.
The Triple Black design includes the Tour Black finish, black shaft, black Pistolini Plus grip, milled triple cavity dots with translucent smoke paintfill and stainless steel sole weights.
Scotty Cameron B3 Triple Black Limited Putters Review: Are they any good?
Stunning! The B3 putters are modern day meets 1990s classic and we absolutely love everything about them – other than the price.
The Tour Black PVD finish to the 303 stainless steel putter head produced a dark look that reduces glare on a putter head shape that harks back to memorable eras.
Each model in the B3 Triple Black Design LTD line features dual-milled face technology, which combines the softness of deep-milled putters and deliver the consistency and feedback of mid-milled offerings.
The putters also have performance-balanced weighting with customizable heel-toe sole weights, making them about as adaptable as they come.
