The new Phantom X 5 putter has stability weighting thanks stepless steel shafts, a new sole design and adjustable sole weights for improved balance.

Scotty Cameron Phantom X 5 Putter Specs & Design

The Phantom X 5 is a traditional mallet in both looks and performance, but has the feel of a blade for the perfect combination golfers love.

The putter head features two wings to create a balanced flat stick. The X on the aluminium sole plate also provides perfect balance in the center of the putter.

The face is now a dual milled 303 stainless steel and produces the ideal roll on the ball whether from close range or distance.

The X 5 has a single mid-bend shaft, which focuses the eyes onto the dominant alignment line to ensure you have more chance of making those all important putts.

It features a new three milled sight dots design on the topline of the putter head for improved alignment aid on the greens.

Scotty Cameron have pimped up this popular mallet to now include a revamped Pistolero Plus grip combining decorative and non-slip textures in the new design.

The setup of the putter can be adjusted by the two sole weights which have 2 x 20 grams for the 33-inch version, 2 x 15 grams for the 34-inch version and 2 x 10 grams for the 35-inch version as standard.

Scotty Cameron Phantom X 5 Putter Review: Is it any good?

The original Phantom X 5 putter was hugely popular and one of the best selling in the range, and the new 2024 design takes things up another not.

The tweaks made to the design, particularly in using a dual milled face, have made the impressive package even better with the new weighting design adding to the stability through impact.

We found that there is less face rotation in the new X 5 model and more consistent roll on the ball. Performance-wise impressive, with the only negative is the eye-watching price tag that it is sold at.
