TaylorMade TP Patina Ardmore 2

The TaylorMade TP Patina Ardmore 2 putter is one of seven designs in the new range released in 2019.

What TaylorMade says about the Ardmore 2 putter:

“(A) Single Bend Shaft (in the Ardmore 2) allows for an unobstructed view of the face from address.

“(The) Face-Balanced design (is best) for those with a straight-back and straight-through putting stroke.

“(A) Double Sightline frames the ball at address, while the dot provides alignment to centre of the face.”

TaylorMade TP Patina Ardmore 2 Design

Like the Ardmore 1 and Ardmore 3, the TaylorMade Ardmore 2 is a mallet shaped putter and one of four in total in the range.

The second of three Ardmore head shapes is a traditional long fang design and carries the classic look of this style of putters.

TaylorMade have worked hard at improving the TP Patina range with a thicker PureRoll aluminium insert increased in size by 5mm and air pockets reduced behind the insert to help ball striking.

In addition, the Ardmore 2 has been designed as a face balanced putter with a single bend shaft and features a double sightline and single dot to aid alignment over putts.

As with all of the TP Patina range, TP sole weights can be adjusted to suit any swing weight and create a putter perfect for any type of putting stroke.

TaylorMade Ardmore 2 Putter Verdict

The Ardmore 2 is an impressive putter that fans of long fang-style head shapes will love – particularly if you have a straight back and through putting stroke to which it is best suited.

The balance offered by this model helps inspired confidence over putters from close range as well as long putts, as does the double sightline aid for alignment

TaylorMade TP Patina Ardmore 2

The Ardmore 2 is matches in performance across the range, but this should be your choice if the long fang style is what suits your game. Alternatively, the Ardmore 3 offers a shorter fang look.
