The Ardmore 3 differs from the other two Ardmore options in the style of putter head, but also because it has a different shaft too.

The short fang putter comes with a Small Curve Hosel which TaylorMade have opted for to provide a traditional look at address.

The Ardmore 3 is heavily toe hung at 42 degrees, and suits golfers with an arced putting stroke.

TaylorMade have worked hard at improving the TP Patina range with a thicker PureRoll aluminium insert increased in size by 5mm and air pockets reduced behind the insert to help ball striking.

TaylorMade Ardmore 3 Putter Verdict

The Ardmore 3 putter is one of the most attractive models in the TaylorMade TP Patina range – and a real winner if you have an arced putting stroke.

There is a lot to like, not least the short fang putter head shape which doesn’t look too imposing standing over putts. The small curve hosel gives you a clear view of the face, but the unusual shape may not be for everyone.

The improved Pure Roll face compared to previous versions of the gets impressive forward roll on the ball for better distance control and feel, making the Ardmore 3 a top-class putter.
