TaylorMade Qi10 Rescues Specs & Design

The Qi10 Rescue is the standard model in the range and has been engineered to cater for a broad spectrum of players, offering a solution that replaces long irons with ease.

The new release is about merging TaylorMade’s renowned speed with an unprecedented level of forgiveness and it does so by marrying a variety of technologies for improved performances vs the Stealth 2.

A larger carbon crown and strategic mass redistribution have improved the forgiveness levels in the new hybrids, ensuring that golfers enjoy an easy launch and consistent performance.

Having made the crown lighter, TaylorMade have managed to re-position discretionary weight lower in the clubhead to produce an easier launch.

The face construction is a deep 450SS which is thinnest at the center and around the edges and has a thicker mantle surrounding the sweet spot for maximum speed at impact.

Behind the face is the now standard Thru-Slot Speed Pocket, which once again enhances face flexibility to promote greater ball speed, carry and distance whether used from the tee, fairway or rough.

The V Steel sole design is retained in the Qi10 design but it has been optimized for better turf interaction and versatility no matter what lie you encounter on the course.

The Qi10 hybrids are sold in 3-rescue (19 degrees), 4-rescue (22 degrees), 5-rescue (25 degrees), 6-rescue (29 degrees) and 7-rescue (33 degrees). They are non-adjustable.

TaylorMade Qi10 Max Rescues Specs & Design

The Qi10 Max Rescue is the most forgiving option of the trio of models in the range and is best suited to handicap golfers looking for options instead of long irons.

Key to the design is extreme perimeter weighting and an ultra-low center of gravity (CG), which together create hybrids that are both versatile and incredibly forgiving.

The Max model delivers high launch angles and long carry distances and they are an ideal solution for mid to high handicappers who struggle with long irons.

The Qi10 Max also has a larger carbon crown, which inspires confidence at address and has allowed for mass redistribution that has enhanced the forgiveness offered by this model.

The Qi10 Max Rescue also features TaylorMade’s signature V Steel sole to improve turf interaction and maintain ball speeds through impact.

Behind the 450SS face with a new sweet spot design is the Thru-Slot Speed Pocket, which continues to help produce explosive ball speeds and maximize distances.

The Qi10 Max hybrids are available in 3-rescue (20 degrees), 4-rescue (23 degrees), 5-rescue (27 degrees), 6-rescue (31 degrees) and 7-rescue (35 degrees). They are non-adjustable.

TaylorMade Qi10 Tour Rescues Specs & Design

The Qi10 Tour Rescue is the most advanced version and is aimed at better golfers who seek the utmost in control and workability.

The Qi10 Tour has been designed to enhance shot-making capabilities while offering a safety net through its forgiving design that long irons can’t match.

The Tour-inspired shape is more refined and compact than the other two models in the Qi10 range, but despite that there is no compromise on forgiveness.

TaylorMade Qi10 Tour Rescues

The rescues feature a fast, deep forged C300 steel face with a design that optimizes speed regardless of whether out of the sweet spot or out of the toe or heel.

The higher toe and internal heel-toe weighting also help maintain speed, even on off-center strikes, with the advanced face design having thinnest points at the true center and around the edges for a consistent performance.

The Qi10 Tour hybrids are available in 2-rescue (17 degrees), 3-rescue (19.5 degrees) and 4-rescue (22 degrees) only and have two degrees of adjustability from the loft sleeve.

TaylorMade Qi10 Rescues Review: Are they any good?

TaylorMade have designed some top-class rescues in recent years with both the Stealth and Stealth 2 series hugely popular.

The Qi10 fairways continue that with a trio of options – the standard Qi10 which suits the majority of golfers, the Max for golfers with slower than average swing speeds and the Tour for elite players.

The Qi10 standard model was both forgiving and accurate and the perfect blend needed for low-to-mid handicap golfers, while the Tour is a real bonus for golfers who love shaping the ball.
