TaylorMade RBZ Speedlite Driver

The driver has been designed as a lightweight and easy go launch options to promote faster swing speeds and more distance.

The aerodynamic 460cc crown has been designed to help achieve those greater clubhead speeds, while the 50g RBZ shaft also helps achieve the lightweight feel.

The design features a Speed Pocket seen in other TaylorMade models, as well as a low CG placement for ideal launch angle and forgiveness. It comes as standard set to 10.5 degrees and is non-adjustable.

TaylorMade RBZ Speedlite Fairway Woods

The fairway woods included in the set are 3-wood and 5-wood and are the newest version of TaylorMade’s original Rocketballz woods.

This version features a 180cc club head in a lightweight package, and includes the same Speed Pocket as the driver. There is also more face flex in this design.

The CG is set low for an easy launch and a higher ball flight than other fairway woods.

TaylorMade RBZ Speedlite Hybrids

The RBZ hybrids in the set include 4-rescue and 5-rescue and have been designed to promote faster swing speeds.

The hybrids offer versatility from both fairways and rough, or from the tee on longer par 3s, with forgiveness what these are all about. You can expect high launching ball flights.

TaylorMade RBZ Speedlite Irons

The Speedlite irons in this set covers 6-iron to pitching wedge and sand wedge.

The design of the RBZ irons focuses on providing the maximum forgiveness with TaylorMade targeting perimeter weighting and placing mass towards the sole to lower the CG.

The result is a high launching iron, while the multi-function sole geometry making the RBZs incredibly playable from fairway and rough.

TaylorMade RBZ Speedlite Wedges

The pitching wedge and sand wedge in the Speedlite have been designed with a classic look and feel.

While there is not the same face technology and features that are in the premium Milled Grind 3 wedges, you can still expect to generate plenty of spin around the greens.

The wedges have a C-grind sole, making them versatile whether used from the fairway, rough or bunkers.

TaylorMade RBZ Speedlite Putter

The TaylorMade RBZ Speedlite putter is a mallet design and has the classic look of many of the most recent models released.

It features the Pure Roll insert for solid ball striking, an alignment dot for accuracy and a cutaway to keep the weight of the putter head down.

The putter has a 45 angle to promote forward roll and generate better speed and control on the greens.

TaylorMade RBZ Speedlite Package Set Bag

The package set comes with a very attractive black, grey and green bag with a 14-way divider for clubs.

The cart bag has eight separated pockets for maximum storage options, including an insulated cooling pouch for drinks and food.

Verdict: Is the TaylorMade Package Set any good?

The Speedlite package is pretty impressive. As far as package sets for beginners and newcomers go, this ranks pretty highly.

There is plenty of TaylorMade’s design features to make this more than just a cheap set of golf clubs.

Everything you need on the course – with the exception of balls, tees and gloves perhaps – are in the package which offers excellent value for money.
