Titleist 620 MB Irons Review

New muscleback iron released by Titleist

Titleist T100 620 CB 620 MB

Titleist 620 MB irons are one of three ranges being released in 2019 as part of the latest new products from the leading manufacturer.

Titleist revealed that the 620 MB irons would be making a first appearance on course at Pebble Beach for the US Open as they begun a validation period for the clubs.

The Titleist 620 MB irons are joined by the 620 CB and T100 irons as the latest three designs are tested by PGA Tour stars like brand ambassadors Justin Thomas, Adam Scott and Rafael Cabrera Bello before being released for general sale.

“Validating product performance on Tour is a critical step in the development of all Titleist golf clubs,” Titleist said having also done the same with the TS2 and TS3 drivers.

Titleist T100 Irons

“Based on early player feedback, the new lineup is poised to continue our run as the iron brand of choice on the PGA Tour.

“Based on initial tour player testing and feedback, the new lineup is poised to continue Titleist’s run as the most played iron on the PGA TOUR for each of the last five years and 14 of the last 15 seasons.”

Titleist 620 MB Irons Design

The 620 MB irons are a muscleback design and sit in direct opposition to the 620 CB, a cavity back option. Depending on ability or preference, the choice is there.

Although the specific design features of the irons haven’t been revealed by Titleist, both of the 620 options have a slightly smaller blade than the T100.

Images of the 620 MB being used both on the range and on the course at Pebble Beach show an attractive muscleback that is striking in design and appearance.

It has a thin top line and a narrow sole and provides all the ammunition that high level golfers look for in their irons. If forgiving is what you want, then the Titleist 620 CB will be much more suitable.

The Titleist 620 MB will replace the 718 MB as the premium option

Titleist 620 MB Irons Verdict

The 620 MB irons will prove popular with talented golfers. Not only do they look good, but there should play well too if they are an improvement on the 718 MB irons.

Once they get the seal of approval, the 620 MBs will no doubt be a big seller to elite level golfers.
