Yuka Saso signs Callaway equipment deal

Yuka Saso

Rising talent and major winner Yuka Saso has signed a Callaway equipment deal ahead of the start of the 2022 LPGA Tour season.

The Philippines star, who is currently eighth in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings, has agreed a multi-year agreement to join Callaway‘s growing list of Tour Professional Staff.

Saso joins the likes of Jon Rahm, Phil Mickelson, Xander Schauffele, Abraham Ancer and Annika Sorenstam as Callaway tour professionals.

Saso will play Callaway Woods, Irons, Wedges, Golf Balls and an Odyssey Putter and Callaway branding as part of the deal.

“I’m so happy to join Callaway, and to work with their outstanding Tour team as I start the next phase of my career with their equipment,” Saso said.

“From their drivers to their golf balls, the performance really stands out to me in testing and out on the course. I feel confident that this is the best setup for my game, and I’m looking forward to a great year.”

Saso won the 2021 US Women’s Open as a 19-year-old when winning a play-off with Nasa Hataoka to lift her first major title at The Olympic Club in San Francisco.

Saso has already won three events since turning professional in 2019, and will make her Callaway debut at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions on the LPGA Tour in January.

“We’re thrilled that Yuka Saso is joining our staff,” said Tim Reed, SVP of Sports Marketing for Callaway Golf.

“She is one one of the most exciting players in the women’s game, and we’re looking forward to working with her in 2022 and beyond.”
