Murray ended a seven-year wait for his second PGA Tour success as he won a three-man play-off to take the prize at the 2024 Sony Open in Hawaii.

Murray finished on 17-under at Waialae Country Club and then defeated Byeong-hun An and Keegan Bradley in a play-off in Hawaii.

Murray’s first PGA Tour win came back in 2017 when landing the title at the Barbasol Championship before dropping down to the Korn Ferry.

Having won the 2016 Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship on the second tier, he then landed titles at the AdventHealth Championship and Simmons Bank Open in 2023 to earn his PGA Tour card once again.

The Sony Open victory saw Murray move from 132nd to 46th in the Official World Golf Rankings.
