Billy Horschel ended almost two years without a win as he landed the Corales Puntacana Championship title in April 2024. A look at Billy Horschel: What’s In The Bag.
Horschel’s previous win came in the 2022 The Memorial at Muirfield Village when winning by four shots from Aaron Wise.
The American returned to the winners’ circle with a record-equalling final round of nine-under par 63 earning him a two-shot victory over Wesley Bryan in the Corales Puntacana Championship in the Dominican Republic.
It was the eighth PGA Tour win of Horschel’s career and his ninth in total having also won on the DP World Tour.
Horschel’s first win came in the 2013 Zurich Classic of New Orleans before he landed the BMW Championship and Tour Championship in 2014.
He had to wait until the 2017 AT&T Byron Nelson for his next title before taking out the Zurich Classic of New Orleans title, this time as pairs along with Scott Piercy, for a second time in 2018.
Prior to winning the Memorial, Horschel’s last PGA Tour win was in the 2021 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play.
Following that Match Play win, Horschel was victorious in the 2021 BMW PGA Championship on the European Tour.
The latest victory moved Horschel up to 11th in the Official World Golf Rankings.
