The Genesis Championship is a new name on the DP World Tour schedule, but is the result of the merging of two tournaments in South Korea.

The Korea Championship took place for the first time in 2023 as a co-sanctioned event between the DP World Tour and Korean Tour.

It has merged with the Genesis Championship, a Korean Tour event which also took place at the same Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea in Incheon, South Korea.

Sang-hyun Park is the reigning Genesis Championship winner, while Pablo Larrazabal is the defending Korea Championship champion.
