The event was first held in 2019 as a new event on the PGA Tour calendar and it will the sixth edition in 2024.
Previously known as the Rocket Mortgage Classic, the now-named Rocket Classic is played at Detroit Golf Club in Detroit, Michigan.
Cameron Davis is the reigning champion having won the event in 2024, adding to his title in 2021. He is among the leading betting odds contenders for this year too.
Other former winners of the event include Nate Lashley, who won the inaugural Rocket Mortgage Classic in 2019, Bryson DeChambeau, Tony Finau and Rickie Fowler.

The Rocket Classic will be played over four rounds / 72 holes on the Detroit Golf Club in Detroit, Michigan, with a cut after the opening two rounds.

- Day 2 – Friday, June 27
- Day 3 – Saturday, June 28
- Day 4 – Sunday, June 29
The Rocket Classic tournament carries a total prize fund of $9,600,000 USD.
