Finau won twice in as many weeks in July when taking the titles at the 3M Open by three shots and the Rocket Mortgage Classic by five shots. Finau finished on 26-under par in the Rocket Mortgage Classic to set a new tournament record score.

The American added a third title in 2022 to his CV when recording another emphatic victory with his total of 16-under par in the Houston Open at Memorial Park Golf Course earning a four-shot victory over Tyson Alexander.

It was the fifth PGA Tour victory over Finau’s career and moved the American up to 12th in the Official World Golf Rankings from 15th.

The first win of Finau’s career came on the then Web.com Tour (now Korn Ferry) when taking the title at the Stonebrae Classic in 2014.

Two years later, Finau was a PGA Tour winner as he triumphed at the 2016 Puerto Rico Open.

He had to wait more than five years for his second PGA Tour title, however, which came in the 2021 Northern Trust Open before his wins in the 3M Open, Rocket Mortgage Classic and Houston Open in 2022.
