The tournament was held for the first time in 2023 and takes place for the fourth time as the latest event of the 2026 LPGA calendar.
The Americas Open moves Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City, New Jersey, to Mountain Ridge Country Club in West Caldwell as part of a new rotation of venues.
The tournament is hosted by former LPGA and major winner Michelle Wie West, who is also a Mizuho ambassador and will be part of the LPGA Tour through to 2030 after a sponsorship extension.
Rose Zhang won the inaugural Mizuho Americas Open in 2023 with the top two players in the world have won the last to editions in Nelly Korda and Jeeno Thitikul. They are among the leading contenders for 2026.
