Mizuho Americas Extends LPGA Sponsorship Through To 2030

Mizuho Americas Open

Mizuho Americas has renewed its title sponsorship of the Mizuho Americas Open on the LPGA Tour for another five years through to 2030.

Ahead of the 2025 event at Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City from May 8-11, Mizuho have announced they have secured the tournament’s future through 2030.

The company also announced it will raise the event’s purse to $3.25 million starting in 2026, establishing it among the highest-paying non-major tournaments on the LPGA Tour.

The Mizuho Americas Open first joined the LPGA Tour calendar in 2023 when won by Rose Zhang, while world number one Nelly Korda was victorious in 2024.

The tournament will maintain its innovative format, pairing rising stars from the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) with the world’s top women golfers, and will continue to be staged in the New York City metropolitan area.

While Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City will remain the event’s long-term home, the tournament will move to Mountain Ridge Country Club in West Caldwell, New Jersey, for 2026 and 2027.

The Mizuho Americas Open will then return to Liberty National from 2028 through 2030.

Mizuho Americas LPGA Sponsorship Extension Reaction

“We first partnered with the LPGA, AJGA, and Liberty National in 2023 to create a one-of-a-kind tournament that stands apart from the others,” said Jerry Rizzieri, President & CEO of Mizuho Securities USA and Head of Americas Corporate and Investment Bank.

“We remain deeply committed to our investment in women’s sports as we aim to help advance the next generation of talent and level the playing field for women, both on and off the golf course.”

LPGA legend Michelle Wie West will continue in her role as tournament host and Mizuho brand ambassador and added: “Thanks in large part to the unwavering support of Mizuho, this tournament has grown into a crown jewel on the LPGA Tour.

“Mizuho is different than most sponsors in that they’re involved every step of the way, ensuring a premium is placed on the player experience and community impact.”

Liz Moore, Interim LPGA Commissioner, added: “Mizuho’s continued support of the LPGA and its players speaks volumes about the company’s culture and its commitment to empowering women and fueling their aspirations.

“Through our partnership with Mizuho, we’re able to showcase the world’s best golfers on a global stage, while uniquely providing rising AJGA stars the opportunity to compete alongside them.”
