PXG Secret Weapon Mini Driver (NEW 2025 Launch Reviewed)

PXG Secret Weapon Mini Driver Review

The PXG Secret Weapon is a new mini driver released for 2025 and designed to offer a unique alternative option to fairway woods.

PXG have joined the mini driver revolution that has previously seen TaylorMade’s BRNR Mini, the Callaway AI Smoke Ti 340 and Titleist’s new GT280 launched.

The Secret Weapon is a 300cc clubhead, which is larger than a typical 3-wood but smaller than a standard driver, and provides an alternative setup strategy at the top end of the bag.

The PXG Secret Weapon is engineered to provide more forgiveness and distance than a 3-wood while offering better control than a traditional driver as well as control and power.

PXG Secret Weapon Specs & Design

With a 300cc clubhead, the Secret Weapon is designed to be more forgiving than a typical 3-wood while offering better control than a standard Black Ops driver.

Crafted with a Lightweight Composite Crown made from high-grade carbon fiber, PXG have been able to perfect the weight redistribution within the clubhead to increasing MOI and optimize the center of gravity.

The high MOI design provides increased stability and forgiveness on off-center hits and ensures no loss of distance from across the face.

PXG Secret Weapon Mini Driver Face

The Secret Weapon features full-face grooves, similar to Titleist’s GT280, which is more characteristic of a 3-wood than some other mini drivers.

It also has a high-strength ultra-thin titanium face optimized for maximum ball speed and high energy transfer through impact for impressive distance.

The leading edge of this mini driver is built flush to the ground and adds to the confidence players can expect when hitting off this off the fairway.

The Secret Weapon is sold as a 13-degree loft option with PXG’s loft sleeve allowing for loft adjustments from 11.5 to 13.5 degrees.

The adjustability of the mini driver is also added to be the inclusion of four adjustable weight ports on the sole (2x heavy 15g and 2x light 2.5g weights) which can be interchanged to customize CG location and setup.

PXG Secret Weapon Review: Is it any good?

The Secret Weapon represents PXG’s first foray into the mini driver sector, but as we’ve come to expect from the brand they don’t do things by halves.

PXG have come up with a cracking product, offering a real option between driver and 3-wood that delivers more distance and maintain forgiveness levels.

PXG Secret Weapon Mini Driver

The Secret Weapon is no longer a secret as it has shown promising results in testing, producing about 3 mph more ball speed and 300 rpms less spin than PXG’s Black Ops 3-wood.

The club is designed for use both off the tee and from the fairway, with a leading edge built flush to the ground for improved turf interaction – giving it versatility other model types don’t deliver.

One of the biggest attractions is the adjustable weighting system, with the four ports making this among the most adaptable mini drivers on the market.
