Abraham Ancer signs Callaway equipment deal

Abraham Ancer

Abraham Ancer has signed a Callaway equipment deal ahead of the start of the 2022 PGA Tour season.

The Mexican, who is currently 17th in the Official World Golf Rankings, has agreed a multi-year agreement to join Callaway‘s growing list of Tour Professional Staff.

Ancer will play Callaway Woods, an Odyssey Putter and will wear a Callaway hat in competition as part of the deal.

Ancer previously used a Callaway Epic Speed Driver and an Odyssey Putter as a freelance golfer.

“I’m excited to officially join Callaway, and after playing their equipment over the past several years, I feel really confident about making the switch,” Ancer said.

“The performance from their drivers is always impressive, their putters are outstanding, and I’ve developed a strong relationship with their Tour Team. This is a great fit for me, and I can’t wait to get this new year started.”

Ancer joins the likes of Jon Rahm, Phil Mickelson, Xander Schauffele and Annika Sorenstam as Callaway tour professionals.

Ancer earned his first PGA Tour win at the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational in 2021 and ended the season in ninth place in the FedEx Cup Standings.

“Abraham Ancer is a global superstar in golf, and we’re proud to have him join our team,” said Tim Reed, SVP of Sports Marketing for Callaway Golf.

“He’s already won on Tour and moved near the top of the world rankings with our products, and we’re ready to help take his game to the next level.”
