What Callaway says about the Epic Speed driver:

“Epic Speed will change the industry forever with a simple equation that creates a profound impact on driver technology and performance. We’re not just making drivers; we’re framing the future of speed.

“Epic ball speeds start with our new A.I.-designed Jailbreak Speed Frame. Previous Jailbreak architectures stiffened the body in the vertical direction.

“By applying Artificial Intelligence, this structure improves stability in horizontal and torsional direction for increased ball speeds across the face.

“A.I.-designed Flash Face to optimize the Jailbreak Speed Frame, promoting fast speeds across a more expansive area. Each face is uniquely enhanced, and the super strength titanium promotes maximum speed, forgiveness, and spin robustness.

“The advanced aerodynamic head construction promotes lower drag for higher head speed. The taller ribbon and flatter crown are built for a precise, more aerodynamic shape that can help golfers generate more speed.”

Callaway Epic Speed Driver Design & Features

The latest model of the Epic range is all about Speed with some notable design difference from the other two newcomers – the Max and Max LS drivers.

In the Speed, Callaway have stripped out the sliding weight and replaced it with a single weight at the rear. That is likely to create a lighter driver, increased MOI and more clubhead speed.

The Epic Speed features the now standard Artificial Intelligence Speed Frame and Jailbreak Technology to promote the ball speeds that the Epic range has become renowned for.

The key design feature is a change to the Jailbreak bars, with four connection points instead of the two that was in the Epic Flash driver.

The Epic DS is the draw bias model, while the LS is a Low Spin model with full adjustability from the hosel available.
