Byeong Hun An claimed victory on home soil when winning the Genesis Championship in October 2024. A look at Byeong Hun An: What’s In The Bag.
An was winning in front of family and friends as he defeated fellow South Korean Tom Kim in a playoff in the Genesis Championship, which was co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and Korean Tour.
An and Kim finished on 17-under par at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea in Incheon and it was the former who sealed victory at the first extra hole.
It was An’s second DP World Tour win and came nine years after winning the 2015 BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth.
His other wins as a professional came in the 2022 LECOM Suncoast Classic on the Korn Ferry Tour, the 2014 Rolex Trophy on the Challenge Tour and 2015 Shinhan Donghae Open on the Korean Tour.
An has also lost three playoffs on the PGA Tour in the 2016 Zurich Classic of New Orleans, 2018 Memorial Tournament and 2024 Sony Open in Hawaii.
