Corey Conners claimed his second PGA Tour victory when winning the Valero Texas Open in April 2023. A look at Corey Conners: What’s In The Bag.

Four years after securing his maiden PGA Tour victory in the same event, Canadian Conners held on to win the Texas Open for the second time.

Conners held a three-shot during the final round but in the end prevailed by a single shot from Sam Stevens, with a total of 15-under par enough for victory at TPC San Antonio.

Conners turned professional in 2015 but had to wait four years for his first victory on the PGA Tour when winning the 2019 Texas Open by two shots.

He had gone close to success a year earlier when finishing runner-up to Cameron Champ in the 2018 Sanderson Farms Championship.

Before his win in the Texas Open, Conners was ranked 40th in the Official World Golf Rankings, but he jumped up to 28th after the victory.
