Van Driel had failed to make the breakthrough on the European Tour in 111 previous starts with a runner-up finish in the Porsche European Open his best result.
However, he claimed his first title on the tour with a two-shot victory over Nacho Elvira and Joe Dean in the Kenya Open.
Van Driel finished on 14-under par at Muthaiga Country Club to lift the title in Kenya.
Van Driel won the 2015 Open International de Marcilly on the ALPS Tour and the 2018 Euram Bank Open and 2019 Rolex Trophy on the Challenge Tour.
The victory in Kenya moved Van Driel from 366th to 216th in the Official World Golf Rankings.
