Deadspin have launched three balls – the DS Tour, DS Pro and DSX Pro – to provide options for all types of golfers…and they are all reasonably priced in the mid-market range.

Deadspin DS Tour Ball Review
The DS Tour balls are the cheapest of the options from Deadspin Golf, but are an impressive performing three-piece model.
The premium ball is designed for distance, offers good control from tee to green and suits all swing speeds of golfer.

The DS Tour has a matte finish with a 316-dimple pattern and a DeadSoft Single Core (DSC), which is designed to provide long distances from tees or fairways.
It has a 75% compression rating for a softer feel around the greens and more control with approach play, and features a Deadspin alignment line for aiding putting.
The DS Tour is available in three colour options – matte black, matte neon yellow and matte glow in the dark – and features the trademark skull logo.

Deadspin DS Pro Ball Review
The DS Pro is Deadspin’s model to rival golf’s most popular balls such as the Titleist Pro V1, as a tour-level offering.
A premium ball, the Pro model is a three-piece constructive with a cast urethane cover for maximum distance and spin levels.

This ball has an oversized synthetic rubber DeadSoft Single Core to generate impressive distances, and a Thermoplastic Polymer Layer to create an overall 85% Compression for a Softer Feel around greens.
The urethane cover is the Pro has a 348-dimple pattern, which is designed to deliver a higher ball flight than the other balls from Deadspin.
Again, this ball is suited to golfers of all swing speeds and abilities and is more affordable than other premium brands.
The DS Pro is available in white and features the innovative KIL Putting Line on the ball.

Deadspin DSX Pro Ball Review
The only four-piece ball in the Deadspin range, the DSX Pro is designed to provide a firmer feel than the DS Pro ball.
Much like the Titleist Pro V1x and Callaway Chrome Soft X, Deadspin have opted for a firmer option of their premium ball for a higher launch and increased spin levels.

The DSX ball differs from the Pro as it has an ultra-thin urethane cover combined with DeadSoft Dual Core (DDC) for the fourth layer.
A 338-dimple pattern delivers long distances with eye-catching short game levels from this 95% compression ball.
It is best suited for golfers looking for work balls with draws or fade and is only suited to golfers with mid-to-high swing speeds.
The DS Pro is available in white and features the innovative KIL Putting Line on the ball.

Verdict: Are Deadspin Golf Balls any good and value for money?
Deadspin have come up with three interesting new releases that offer affordable options for golfers looking for premium performers.
An interesting brand, the balls are more than just gimmicky. They have plenty of performance benefits and won’t break the bank.
The DS Pro was our favourite ball in testing with the DSX Pro only suiting the real quicker swing speeds, while the Tour is more of the mass market option and worthy of considering at the price.
