Frittelli hadn’t won since victorious on the PGA Tour in 2019 but ended the wait for a win when claiming a two-shot victory in the Bahrain Championship on the DP World Tour.

The South African finished on 13-under par at The Royal Golf Club in Bahrain, two shots clear of Jesper Svensson and Zander Lombard.

Before the latest victory, Frittelli has dropped to 434rd in the Official World Golf Rankings. He shot up to 191st following his win in Bahrain.

Frittelli was claiming his third DP World Tour win having previously landed the titles at the 2017 Lyoness Open and 2017 Mauritius Open.

His most recent victory came in the 2019 John Deere Classic on the PGA Tour.

Earlier in his career, Frittelli won twice on the Challenge Tour with victory in the 2013 Kärnten Golf Open and 2016 Rolex Trophy as well as on the Big Easy Tour in the 2013 Roodepoort CC.
