Sweden’s Svensson is playing on his first full season on the DP World Tour and turned some promising results into a first victory on the European Tour.

Svensson finished on 17-under par after a course record round in the 2024 Singapore Classic, before sealing victory in a play-off with Kiradech Aphibarnrat.

Svensson had already finished runner-up twice in 2024 when second in the South African Open Championship and Bahrain Championship.

Prior to graduating to the European Tour, Svensson won the 2020 Race to HimmerLand on the Nordic Golf League tour and 2023 B-NL Challenge Trophy on the Challenge Tour.

Svensson was ranked 182nd in the Official World Golf Rankings prior to the win. He moved up to 102nd on the back of the victory.
