JJ Spaun got back in the winning circle when claiming the title at the Valero Texas Open in April 2026. A look at JJ Spaun: What’s In The Bag.
It was Spaun’s first victory since landed his first major title when winning the US Open at Oakmont in 2025, with the American recording a one-shot victory in the 2026 Valero Texas Open.
Spaun finished on 17-under at TPC San Antonio with his five-under par final round seeing him edge out Michael Kim, Matt Wallace and Robery MacIntyre by a shot.
It was his second win in the Valero Texas Open having claimed his maiden title in the event in 2022.
Sandwiched in between was his dramatic two-shot win in the 2025 US Open, in which he birdied the final two holes – including a monster 64-foot putt on the closing hole – to beat McIntyre at Oakmont.
Spaun’s previous wins came on the now-Korn Ferry Tour in the 2016 News Sentinel Open and on the PGA Tour Canada in the 2015 Staal Foundation Open.
