Marcel Siem landed his sixth DP World Tour win when claiming the Italian Open title in June 2024. A look at Marcel Siem: What’s In The Bag.
Siem is returning to action following hip surgery and he produced the goods in the 2024 Italian Open at Adriatic Golf Club Cervia.
The German finished on 10-under par along with Tom McKibbin before Siem sealed victory at the first extra hole of a play-off.
German Siem had not won on the European Tour since 2014, but produced a timely run in the Hero Indian Open to win by a shot from compatriot Yannik Paul in February 2023.
Siem’s DP World Tour wins came in the 2004 Dunhill Championship, 2012 Open de France, 2013 Trophee Hassan II and 2014 BMW Masters.
Having dropped off the tour, Siem won on the Challenge Tour in 2021 when claiming victory in the Le Vaudreuil Golf Challenge.
His other career win came in partnership with Bernard Langer as the pair led Germany to success in the 2006 WGC-World Cup.
