McCarty was playing in just his third PGA Tour event having graduated from the Korn Ferry Tour, and he dominated the inaugural Black Desert Championship.
The 26-year-old McCarty finished on 23-under par at Black Desert Resort, three shots clear of Stephen Jaeger for his first title on the PGA Tour.
McCarty, a graduate of Santa Clara University, earned promotion to the PGA Tour after three victories on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2024.
The American earned his first professional win in the Price Cutter Charity Championship in July before winning the Pinnacle Bank Championship and Albertsons Boise Open in August.
