Pavon had broken his DP World Tour duck in October 2023 when dominating the Open de Espana to beat a strong field by four shots at Club de Campo Villa de Madrid.

The Frenchman wasted no time in getting his first PGA Tour title as he held off Nicolai Hojgaard to win by a shot in the Farmers Insurance Open by a single shot at Torrey Pines.

Pavon had won three times in his early career before graduating to the European Tour.

He twice on the ALPS Tour in the 2014 Open International de Rebetz and 2015 Servizitalia Open as well as on the French Tour in the 2018 Open Mont de Marsan.

Prior to his Farmers Insurance Open win, Pavon was ranked 78th in the Official World Golf Rankings.
