Mizuno JPX One Fairway Woods Specs & Design

The JPX One fairway woods are Mizuno’s 2026 model that has been design for high ball speeds with a unique range of lofts for different types of golfers.

The design is centered around a comprehensively reengineered Cortech Chamber, which redistributes internal weighting by narrowing mass in the middle while expanding it toward the heel, toe, and low-face parimeters.

It is designed to elevate MOI by up to 12% compared to prior ST-Z models, delivering superior stability on mishits without inflating spin rates, and directly enhances forgiveness across the expanded strike zone.

The JPX One woods have a MAS1C face employs a high-strength steel construction that is precision-milled for variable thickness – but there is no nanoalloy addition on top as we have seen in the JPX One drivers.

The face design creates a larger high-COR rebound area – approximately 18% wider than previous generations – while maintaining durability under high-impact swings.

Unlike the drivers’ Nanoalloy overlay, this face prioritizes consistent energy transfer and a softer impact feel with acoustic tuning via internal ribbing helping to create Mizuno’s expected sound and feel.

The new Speed Bevel sole features a razor-sharp leading edge with progressive bounce angles that ensure optimal launch from tight lies or light rough by reducing turf drag by 22%.

There is also a new wrap-around composite crown in subtle blue carbon that helps save over 20 grams versus titanium and help push the CG lower and deeper to provide the higher launch in the JPX One.

The woods are available in 3-Titantium (15 degrees), 3-wood (15 degrees), 5-wood (18 degrees), 7-wood (21 degrees) and 9-wood (24 degrees). All lofts are adjustable by four degrees (2 up and 2 down) via the hosel.

The JPX One 3T has a more compact 155cc head with a flatter lie angle and forward CG bias for lower spin and enhanced workability, making it ideal for shaping shots off the tee for better players.

Mizuno JPX One Fairway Woods Review: Are they any good?

The new Mizuno woods suits mid-to-low handicappers who favour stunning looks in combination with playability over raw speed, while there is more forgiveness from the updated Cortech design.

While they do provide good ball speeds, it is the ball striking where they excel including with improved turf interaction and launch angle thanks to the tweaks in design.

You will notice a much higher trajectory and improved stopping power on long approaches compared to previous models.

For better players, the inclusion of a titanium 3-wood is an excellent move to add shot shaping and workability options at the top end of the bag.
