Nick Dunlap: What’s In The Bag

Nick Dunlap What's In The Bag

Nick Dunlap created history as the first player to win as an amateur and professional in the same season when landing victory at the Barracuda Championship in July 2024. A look at Nick Dunlap: What’s In The Bag.

The 20-year-old won the 2024 The American Express in January as a sponsors exemption, finishing on 29-under including a record-breaking 12-under par third round.

In doing so, Dunlap became the first amateur to win on the PGA Tour since Phil Mickelson in 1991. It was just his fourth start on the tour.

Just six months later and having turned professional, Dunlap created more history as he won the 2024 Barracuda Championship, which has an adjusted stableford format, by two points.

The University of Alabama golfer has won the 2021 US Junior Amateur Championship and the 2023 US Amateur during his collegiate career.

Dunlap also scored wins in the Dustin Johnson World Junior and AJGA Polo Golf Junior Classic in 2021 and the Linger Longer Invitational, Northeast Amateur, North and South Amateur and SEC Stroke Play in 2023.
