PXG has added the new PXG Black Ops Ultra Lite driver to their premium range as an option to benefit golfers with slower swing speeds.
The lightweight driver was introduced in February 2025 as an expansion to PXG’s award-winning Black Ops series that includes the Black Ops and Tour-1 drivers, fairway woods, hybrids and irons.
PXG have removed as much weight as possible in the Ultra Lite and designed this model to provide an effortless launch for golfers who struggle to generate clubhead speed.
Light many other manufacturers to enter this sector, the new PXG release helps generate increased ball speed and deliver exceptional forgiveness for players needing a lighter and easier-to-swing driver.
PXG Black Ops 0311 Ultra Lite Driver Specs & Design
Following on from many other manufacturers, PXG have added a lightweight version of their premium range of drivers to cater for more golfers than ever before.
PXG have come up with a lightweight design that includes clubhead mass of just 189 grams, which is 14 grams lighter than the standard PXG Black Ops Driver – and therefore ideal for slower-swing-speed golfers.
The adjustable sole weight, known officially as PXG’s Precision Weighting Technology, features a 12.5g weight as standard but that can be adjusted to leave an overall weight of between 179g and 196.5g.

The use of a composite body construction made from high-grade carbon fiber has also allowed PXG to keep weight down and distribute it better to increase MOI and optimize the center of gravity.
The Ultra Lite driver has AMF Technology incorporated with the Advanced Material Face Technology having a variable thickness design to deliver increased ball speed for more distance.
The titanium alloy used in AMF technology is more flexible than traditional materials, allowing for better energy transfer to the ball and added distance off the tee.

Forgiveness is improved thanks to the non-uniform bulge and roll face design with this PXG feature helping to maintain ball speeds on off-center hits.
The Black Ops Ultra Lite driver is available in 10.5 degrees and 11.5 degrees loft options with three degrees of adjustability.
PXG Black Ops Ultra Lite Driver Review: Is it any good?
The Black Ops range has been an impressive performer and senior golfers and those seeking more clubhead speed now have the option of putting a PXG driver in the back.
Having stripped the Ultra Light driver of as much weight as possible, PXG have come up with an option that rivals many of their leading manufacturers for the first time.
Unlike many ultralight drivers, the Black Ops model does offer some weight adjustability with it possible to adjust the clubhead mass between 179 grams and 196.5 grams.
That is one of the selling points of this particular model over others that feature lightweight design that come without adjustable sole weights or hosels.
