Ryo Hisatsune: What’s In The Bag

Ryo Hisatsune

Ryo Hisatsune claimed his first DP World Tour victory when winning the Open de France in September 2023. A look at Ryo Hisatsune: What’s In The Bag.

The young star became just the third player Japan to win a DP World Tour event when triumphing at Le Golf National in Paris.

Hisatsune shot a closing five-under par to finish on 14-under, enough for a two-shot victory over Jeff Winther as the overnight leaders fell away in the Open de France.

Hisatsune emerged a talent of the future when topping the Japan Challenge Tour money list in 2020/21 on the back of three victories.

He won the Japan Create Challenge in Fukuokaraizan, Minami Akita CC Michinoku Challenge and ISPS Hando Hero Ni Nare! Challenge in 2021.

Hisatsuna went through Q-School to earn his place on the DP World Tour in 2023.

The win in France moved Olesen from 166th to 101st in the World Golf Rankings.
