RZN HS-Tour Golf Ball Review

RZN HS Tour

The RZN HS-Tour ball has been revitalised with the return of the brand in 2020

The RZN brand was formed in 2006 and operated on a research and development relationship for Nike. Since Nike ended its golf equipment sales in 2016, RZN balls disappeared from the shelves.

Now they are back with the original developers now manufacturing the balls, with the HS-Tour model joined by the MS-Tour, Distance and Speed models.

What RZN say about the HS-Tour golf ball:

“A tour golf ball aimed to enhance every shot of the game. RZN Tour is a four piece golf ball with soft urethane cover and a 3D resin outer core manufactured with state of the art technology of the RZN Brand.

“It’s designed to provide Tour level spin control without sacrificing distance. A ball targeted for High Swing speed players.

What to Expect: Explosive distance on all long irons, woods and driver, specifically forgiving on driver miss-shots due to a low driver spin and control all around the green through its High Spin on short irons and wedge….

“…Reduced air drag due to Micro Dimple Surface, high grip in wet conditions and bigger alignment for easier aiming while putting.”

RZN HS-Tour Golf Ball Design

The HS-Tour ball is the premium ball in the RZN range and is the only four piece ball construction available from the manufacturer.

The ball gets the HS name because it has been designed for golfers with a high swing speed, and features a soft urethane cover and a 3D resin outer core.

The HS Tour ball has 13,558 micro-dimples to reduce drag and provide unrivalled carry and distances from the tee and with irons.

The softer cover helps produce the kind of spin levels around the greens that are desired by tour players, while the HS has been designed to be forgiving on mis-hit shots.

The alignment line on the ball has been made bigger and easy to use than in previous models under the Nike banner.

RZN HS-Tour Ball Verdict

The HS-Tour marks a welcome return of the leading model from RZN. The performance is equal to the former Nike premium ball.

The HS model stands up well against balls in a similar price range, producing impressive distance as well as a soft playable ball around the greens.

If you have a high swing speed and are in the market for a four-piece ball that doesn’t break the bank, the HS-Tour should be on your radar.
